--This is a really short memory, but there's something very significant about this: Saïx cannot see Xion's face or recognize any of her distinct characteristics. She literally has no face to him, and despite the fact that she's speaking, I don't think Saïx can code a gender for her? What this memory emphasizes is that Xion is not a person, she is an object. This is entirely Saïx's perspective on her, that she lacks real autonomy and she's more or less a tool created by the Organization that stopped working properly.
