SO since Saïx/Isa has finally surpassed 1k in comments (!!!!11) I think it is time for a questions meme! P. much anything goes, although since I am going to sleep right now I won't get to any responses until tomorrow. o7

Anyway, what does Saix think of being a knight?
no subject
*relatively. Saïx complains a lot just by habit, but it's rare that he actually means any of it. Also, characters who greatly dislike complacency is now a ping of mine...
What's the most unexpected thing that's happened with playing Itachi in Aather?
no subject
Are there any memories you're especially looking forward to getting back?

Do you have any app plans?

If Saix (or Isa, if you prefer) were a persona what kind of games would he run?

Reverse?

Does Saïx have thoughts on the knight teams?

Right away Isa made a mental differentiation between Roxas and Ventus based on personality. Roxas seems a little fiercer, a little more determined, and not as bright and happy as Ven is, so that makes it easier for Isa to think of them distinctly. He feels really perplexed that he doesn't have any memories of Roxas yet, especially since they have the Nobody connection... and even more perplexed that Roxas seems to trust him way more than Isa thinks he should. All in all, Isa is very (unsure) about Roxas but not in a particularly negative way.
First impressions reverse!

How are Saix and Axel doing right now?

Roxas's top 5 most important people in Aather!
no subject
2. Emeralds, all of them!
3. Josh
4. Rabbit
5. Fellow Nobodies, just on virtue of OMG, you're like me
Five people who made the biggest impression on Saix so far?
no subject
2. Ventus
3. Zack
4. Roxas
5. The Lion...................
This list is hilarious.
I AM RUNNING OUT OF QUESTIONS DUE TO BEING DEAD FROM HOMEWORK but you can keep asking if you like!! '-'

You played Saix at CFUD at some point, right? What was that like?
no subject
I played Saïx for a year and three months, just about. The KH cast at the time was fairly humongous and I had a blast with Saïx raining on their parade while they tried to jesus him and constantly failed. Zazzle plays Axel there as well, and they had really long, heart-breakingly tragic threads p. much all the time. Alison plays Roxas there and their threads of constant bickering and mindgames was a blast, too. My biggest problem with playing Saïx at the time was that he was sort of pigeon-holed in his development; he was post-death in an environment where he felt trapped, so he was about twice as bitter and angry as he is in canon, and a little more trigger-happy, too. While often he'd be totally cathartic to play (seriously, playing someone who is constantly a jealous, cruel asshole can be massively tiring but such an eye-opening experience in RP) I would wonder if I'd shoved him into a corner in how much of his character there was to explore. He wasn't going to make friends, he wasn't going to learn how to have feelings, but fortunately there were so many unresolved things in his life, especially with Axel, that I continually found ways to force him to deal with it.
I think I was really fortunate that the year I played Saïx was the year Birth by Sleep came out; I apped him in November of '09 (not long after 358/2 Days came out), and the announcements that Lea and Isa would be in BbS were released the following January. Needless to say, most of the KH cast in CFUD flipped out. We spent the next months frantically guessing at what the backstory to the series was, what each characters' role was, how we were going to alter our playing field, and sometimes just making stuff up on the fly to compensate for our lack of info. Fortunately, no one got too badly jossed, I think. In the meantime, I played Saïx in a lot of different situations to see what kind of things I could get him into--he made... er, "friends", and by that I mean he found mutual interests with a couple psychopaths and they were horrible together. Saïx and the keyblade crew had a tentative truce in Camp because constant in-fighting was going to go nowhere, which led to hilarious threads like Riku and Saïx unwillingly teaming up to take down the Lingering Sentiment, which I link because it's a good example of the kind of tentative canon environment we were all playing from, and also showcases how bad I am at fight threads. |Db
And then BbS came out, and Zazzle and I deaged our boys into Lea and Isa. And that was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had in RP, because it was like a breakthrough in what I could do with Saïx, how far I could take him, and the potential he had. I ended up breaking down into sobs when we finished, and that doesn't happen very often with me. (My long-standing character at CFUD, Raphael from Angel Sanctuary, has only made me tear up a couple times and I've been playing him since 2007) I GUESS I WAS REALLY MOVED ;; As a result of that incident, Saïx ended up making an actual friendship of sorts with someone--Sera from Digital Devil Saga, who is played by Lloyd. He was still caustic and bitter and mean at her, but they had genuine conversations on an even playing field where they talked philosophy and she actually listened to him and he felt oddly not-hateful of her presence.
When I dropped him, it wasn't because I fell out of love with the character--I knew that taking someone as broken as Saïx and forcing him to move forward was only going to go so far, and that I'd hit my limit in what he was willing to do. Frankly, I'm still amazed that I played him for that long. It was hard, and it was painful, but I had to let him go from CFUD eventually. Still, I felt I owed it to him to have one last good thread, so here is my absolute favorite drop ever. It's not fun, or funny; it's actually a very painful thread--but it was the proper goodbye for everything that happened to this character.
Also, if you ever see AJ referencing eating Saïx, it's because she played the Corinthian from Sandman and he and Saïx had a special relationship in which Cori cut out and devoured Saïx's eyes multiple times. And then complained that they weren't filling. JERK!!!!!
Do you play in any other RPs/plan to?
no subject
I don't currently play in any other RPs. I'd considered Sabra - right around the time they originally closed apps - and now it's in its endgame stretch. Once I'd apped to Aather, I was honestly surprised how both engaging and overwhelming this game is. It eats your time but good! I'm also currently job searching, so I'm not sure what my future time is going to be like.
The last time I was heavily involved in online RPs was back in... '06? A looot of time from '03 to '06. But now I have this, and it's pretty awesome.
Any other app plans for Aather?

I AM RUNNING OUT OF QUESTIONS '-'

I mean, hi, relationship?

Okay so hilariously Isa does not know what to think of Ven. He is like. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS KID, HE IS TOO MUCH FOR ME TO HANDLE. Isa sort of becomes automatically suspicious of people who are friendly/trusting when he can't see a reason for them to be, and Ven is like the embodiment of this. He's actually really grateful that people like Ven and Lea and Roxas and Zack are willing to do something he considers pretty reckless--it makes it easier for him to start figuring out his own feelings. But it also confuses him, because he can't see how anyone who lives in a tumultuous world like Aather would be able to trust others so easily. The Wild Isa hurt itself in its confusion!!
However, he'll admit that having the experience in Ven's heart with the crystals really endeared Ven to him (if "endeared" is the right word to use here, due to how cold Isa can be). So there's a part of him that genuinely likes Ven as much as he's capable of, and another part of him that just can't figure out what to do when faced with so much kindness.
REVERSE ME
no subject
Ven loev him some Nobodies. Especially Isa, honestly, because while Lea is more fun, Isa is at this point the one he feels more of a personal connection to. Because they've had some pretty serious conversations, and Ven does have a bit of a ping for stoic serious snarky dudes accumulated through various things. Ven vaaaguely knows about the Org from talking about one of Roxas' memories--not even by name, I think, just that Roxas and Axel were involved in something sketchy--and he has some pretty instinctive lack-of-feelings-and-empathy-can-be-dangerous thoughts, but. It's not what you've done or what you are, but what you do now and what you're like as a friend. Ven had a lot of starting dere for both Lea and Isa because people from his world(s) who he actually remembers and was friends with, however briefly, and he's just like. I will love on them and take care of them! Because that's what I do! And he seriously would quest all over Aather and bleed a hell of a lot if it would help get either of them their hearts back. Because that's how he is.
As for the trust thing, well, Ven is a fairly trusting person by default, because he's an optimist and that's how he stays sane, and has seen nothing in Isa to make him distrust him and several things to make him trust him. His attitude towards things done before people came to Aather is entirely "none of my business, unless you hurt somebody I cared about and fail to give a shit on any level." (It didn't used to be, he used to freak out and mistrust people a little if he learned they'd hurt/killed/whatever in the past, but Peridot has changed him a fair bit on that spectrum.) And because of his talks with Isa about friendship, he's pretty confident that as Isa is now, Nobody or no, it would bother him on some level to discover he'd hurt his friends. He really sees Aather as a second chance for some people.
Tell me about these feelings that you're figuring out!

So how did Josh and Ven happen, I'm curious about that!
no subject
Hm, is it easier to type this up again or c/p from some previous question meme....meh, I'll type it up again! So Josh and Ven were sort of casual friends for a very long time. They kept running into each other, often when Ven was depressed, and being friendly, but there was this sort of not-quite connection. And then one day Ven was having signeg foo and asked for a hug, and somehow this spiraled into a long soulful trauma-sharing conversation and after that, they were SOLIDLY BROS all of a sudden.
And then they started doing all those Bro Things. Like swimming together mostly naked, and geeking out about magic, and cuddling a lot, and dancing on air together during a party game (with Ven in a frilly ballgown), and nearly falling asleep on each other afterwards, and watching each other perform manly feats of strength and agility, and cuddling while swimming...Bro Things, right? :3 And somewhere in there Ven went, crap, I think I have a crush on him. Because Ven crushes very easily on really close friends, and he wasn't sure how Josh felt and was super nervous about it being unrequited (as most of his attractions are), but he blurted it out at one point when they were talking and snuggling and Josh was trailing fingers over the back of his neck and it was Doing Things.
And then Josh thought about it for a bit, realized that, yes, this was a thing that he'd been too derp to fully realize (because seriously, cuddling while swimming and mostly naked, GET A CLUE, GUYS), and then they made out frantically until Trout found them and stuck her head up Josh's shirt. And the rest, as Josh said once, is adorable history.
While we're talking about such things, which side of the platonic line do you read Lea and Isa as being on?

Terra shows up in Aather! WHAT DO, VEN, WHAT DO
no subject
No, really, Ven would be ALL THE EXCITED AND HAPPY and introduce Terra to all his friends and forgive him everything and nurse him through his "I did WTF" memories as best as he could. And crush on him tons. And honestly kind of root for Terra and Riku being friends, because he thinks Terra would be good for him.
Josh and Terra hanging out would be especially hilarious because they have *very* similar story arcs and falls into darkness.
And ultimately, once Terra got enough memories to figure out what the shit even happened to him (Ven has no clue, even with a complete registry), Ven would be so fucking happy that Terra got to Aather safely, because it means he's still alive and himself. \:D/
Xion gets unbooked again, what do?

I AM. running out of questions since I am doing homework and creativity is low, so you can keep asking if you want o/
no subject
I am kind of derp on questions too, but. It seemed like Isa got pushed to the overload point, so I am kind of curious thar.

no subject
...yeah Ven still feels a little bad about that. He's firmly of the "give important information sooner rather than later" school, due to his experiences, but still.

Isa is like 'idek what this dude is on, but I am not about to get on his bad side.' Like he gets the cynicism and the grittiness and the MANLY BROODING part, he totally gets that. He is honestly surprised there are not more people like Snake hanging around being tough and manly and shit. BUT Snake is also... crazy... so Isa is now permanently (unsure) of him. '-'
Does Snake know what his actual name is...
no subject
He does know his name...er, he knows he's Snake, Jack and apparently Boss and that he hates it when someone calls him that last. All the names and refusing to tell Para-medic his real name, along with the explanation that soldiers don't have names after going on the battlefield...he really just didn't want to tell people a name! He's starting to come around to telling at least some people to go ahead and call him Snake, and then some people have heard from other people, but it's still not common knowledge.
I don't know KH -- what's Saix like in a nutshell, and how's Isa differing from Saix?
no subject
And that's ultimately what I wanted from playing Saïx starting out as Isa in Aather; I wanted him to still retain that bitterness, that aloof coldness that's so intrinsic to his personality, but I wanted him to be able to develop into a human being, into someone who feels genuine emotions as much as he's able to. I think the key difference is hope--Saïx doesn't have any, but Isa just might. And I am excited to play that! \o\ /o/
What's the most surprising thing that's happened to your character so far?

What's the most surprising development that's happened to your character so far?
no subject
What skill are you most looking forward to Saix getting back?
no subject
Hmmm, there's actually two I'm looking forward to the most, for different reasons. One is Just Desserts, because I am too amused by the idea of Saïx getting back his canon weapon only for it to be a giant banana. I AM TWELVE The other is Lunar Affinity, because with it I basically unlock the occasional tweaking out that will be a good precursor for whenever he unlocks Berserker. And it'll be fun to give him something to mindlessly obsess over and give him dreams and add to his sense of longing. (And also to pretend he's a werewolf '-')
I don't actually know anything about Pokémon :( Tell me about your canon! (Well, Silver's canon, I know the older ones)
no subject
Pokémon Special is a manga series that has been running for... gosh, 14 years now. As long as the anime! It's basically a loose adaption of the games, with differnt arcs focusing on different heroes, but all taking place chronologically and within the same universe. It goes Red/Green/Blue --> Yellow --> Gold/Silver/Crystal --> Ruby/Sapphire --> Fire Red/Leaf Green --> Emerald --> Diamond/Pearl --> Platinum --> Heart Gold/Soul Silver --> Black/White. Not counting B&W about nine years has passed in canon time. It's much darker than the anime. MUCH. Interestingly, the creator of Pokémon has mentioned that of all the Pokémon media and spinoffs in existence, it's the closest to the world he was trying to represent, so go figure. I should mention that though the plots of the individual arcs are based off the various games, there's very little emphasis on gym battles and the Pokémon League. I read some of it when I was super young and recently got back into it :B
Gold/Silver/Crystal, where Silver first shows up, deals with a mysterious figure known as the Masked Man and his efforts to resurrect Team Rocket and basically mess with the fabric of space and time itself through the use of legendary Pokémon. Silver gets involved in this because he and his adoptive sister, Blue, were kidnapped at young ages by the Masked Man as part of a group of promising young trainers he wanted to make into mindless puppets. He accomplished this by forcing them to wear masks at all times and generally psychologically (and occasionally physically) terrorizing them. Silver and Blue eventually escaped after about five or six years of this, however, and now that the Masked Man has shown himself again, Silver is out for revenge. Which he hopes to accomplish by stealing a Pokémon, a Pokédex, and allying himself with a guy who tried to destroy all of humanity in the previous arc. I should mention that he is all of eleven at this time. A LOT OF STUFF HAPPENS AND THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP PREVAILS, BECAUSE THIS IS STILL POKÉMON, LUCKILY.
But yeah. That should give you a taste of how "... oh my god what" the series can get, and that's not even examining the later stuff that happens. In Aather, Silver's from the most recent arc he shows up in -- HGSS -- at which point he's sixteen and has a lot less issues. PROBABLY MORE THAN YOU NEEDED/WANTED TO KNOW.
I will... possibly edit this with a return question when I think of one, but right now I am kind ob braindead.
